An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide specialist HR support for our large timber manufacturing site based in Rotorua. Based 10 mins drive south of Rotorua CBD, Red Stag Timber operates Waipa Mill, NZ's largest timber manufacturing plant, which employs 380 staff and contractors. The company is fast paced and progressive, producing structural timber for both the domestic and export markets. Our annual staff surveys consistently indicate a strong and positive workplace culture. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join the HR/HS team and provide cover during parental leave over 12 months. This role reports to and provides direct support to the People & Safety Manager and works closely with our first line managers across the site. The ability to provide advice on NZ employment legislation requirements and ensuring our business practices align is required. Our ideal candidate will have 5yrs+ recent experience as an HR Advisor in a medium to large organisation. A Bachelor Degree qualification majoring in Human Resource Management and/or Industrial Relations or equivalent is desirable. You shall also need to demonstrate: - Exceptional business level writing skills, along with intermediate MS Office computer skills - Excellent interpersonal communication with a professional approach - An organised approach to work and ability to complete tasks efficiently - Sound generalist HR particularly recruitment & selection processes - A "can-do" attitude with flexibility at times to assist with team events and achieve team goals - Proven reliability, time efficiency and ability to manage own workload is expected This is a fulltime role, with normal hours of work being Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
